Luxurious, modern, european design: a gilded wall clock

How we create luxurious wall clock authored Kostylo atelier

Our luxurious wall clock, gilded with 23-carat gold, is our original concept and design. All brass components are gilded, and the hour markers are meticulously polished and also gilded. The clock face is made from the very rare semi-precious stone known as striped flint, carefully selected from the best quality stone. The clock glass is milled and additionally specially tempered. Every detail of our clock is crafted at Kostylo atelier with jeweler-like precision and a passion for beauty and art.

Envisioning our wall clock, we first created models from which we cast the side walls along with the hour markers in our Kostylo atelier.

Here you can see in all its glory the luxury modern European design wall clock authored Kostylo atelier.

We roughly grind the so-called „sprue systems” on the cast components of the hanging clock.

We also hand-file every clock component, both the front and rear, in a rough manner.

Each front and rear part of the clock is smoothed with sandpapers of various grits, ranging from 150 to 800, as we aim for very flat and smooth surfaces.

The hand-sanded, smoothed parts are joined together, precisely fitting each piece to maintain even dimensions on all sides.

The prepared components are then soldered using high-quality silver, followed by another round of hand-filing, this time removing excess silver and working on the smoothness of the front side of the hanging clock. This task is challenging as we must achieve even surfaces and uniform dimensions. Similarly, we hand-file and sand the interior of the clock.

Meanwhile, we prepare the place where the clock will be hung from a cut and measured 3 mm thick brass sheet. The cut parts are fitted together and then soldered with silver solder.

We also prepare the rear flap of the hanging clock, known as the clock’s back cover. After cutting the appropriate dimensions from the 3 mm thick brass sheet, we fit these pieces together precisely.

The silver-soldered back cover of the hanging clock is hand-sanded to remove excess silver, and all surfaces are smoothed to perfection.

Next, the completed frame of the hanging clock was copper-plated and further smoothed to perfection with sandpapers. The photo shows work on fitting the tempered glass and clock face.

All clock components were gilded with bright 23-carat Italian gold, which we then assembled to create a beautiful, unique, modern wall clock with a European style.

We also created a custom-sized, luxury company box in dark green, featuring our original, hand-made, and gilded hinges and clasps. The interior of the company box was lined with white satin, also handcrafted by our Kostylo atelier. Everything is handmade with attention to detail, driven by our love for people and the world.
